Hi,

selbst Amano meinte, dass diese Pflanze wie die Pest wächst und nur schwer unter Kontrolle zu halten ist.

Glosso wächst dort nämlich nicht wie die Pest, sondern zierlich, klein und langsam .

in dem australischen Forum www.aquariumlife.org.au werden zwei Fundortvarianten von Hydrocotyle tripartita vorgestellt:
- die eine vom Baffle Creek, Bundaberg, kleinblättriger und schnellwüchsiger,
- die andere vom Brisbane River.

This is my Hydrocotyle sp. "Japan"in the emerged form

Great! Now the species could be determined, by making herbarium specimens from flowering and fruiting plants, and sending them to some expert in Hydrocotyle.

Sollte mal jemand der geneigten Besitzer ein paar überzählige Exemplare loswerden wollen ... die würde mir bestimmt gut stehen :wink:

die wird sich inden nächsten Wochen schnell in den deutschen Aquarien verbreiten,wächst extrem schnell

maybe you saw H. sp 'Japan' in Niigata because Mr Amano is spreading the species

Nein, so invasiv wie Glosso ist sie nicht, sondern: noch invasiver
Ich befürchte, die könnte auch verwildert in wärmeren Gegenden zur invasiven Pflanze werden... falls es wirklich Hydrocotyle tripartita ist: die kommt in Südost-Australien vor, wo es im Winter schon relativ kalt werden kann.

A native of Japan is Hydrocotyle yabei. This name is often treated as synonym of H. sibthorpioides, but the leaves of yabei are very similar to them of H. sp. "Australia"/"Japan" (and the East Asian H. sibthorpioides var. batrachium): http://flowers2.la.coocan.jp/Araliaceae ... ponica.htm
I believe it's also possible that the plant by the stream in Niigata isn't escaped H. "Australia" but the native Hydrocotyle yabei.
